Restored
in 1990 by Duxford Aviation Society, the aircraft has a colourful
history, having been rescued from Cyprus after the civil war in 1974 to
return to the BA fleet. She is now painted in the original BEA red
square livery and is on display at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford,
Cambridgeshire.

Retired
in 1985 and used for training purposes, Zulu Kilo was first restored by
the Trident Preservation Society in 1994. Repainted into BEA Speed
Jack livery in 2001, she was then under risk of being scrapped but after
fund raising by the TPS was dismantled, transported by road and
reassembled and restored at her current home at the Manchester Airport
Aviation Viewing Park, opening to the public in April 2007.

In
storage for the Science Museum (London) at Wroughton in Wiltshire, Zulu
Mike is in the same condition as when she was delivered to the museum
for safe keeping in 1985. This storage facility for the museum house
several interesting aircraft and is occasionally open to the public.

Lee, the cockpit of 'ZI is on display at the FAST Museum in Hampshire.
This aircraft had been withdrawn and stored at Heathrow, being used to
test a livery design for a third party operator before being used for
fire training. It was finally broken up and the cockpit section
acquired and restored. Several of the electrical systems can also
be powered up.

April 2006 complete and well preserved at the RAF museum, Cosford and
the sole complete preserved Trident 1C however it was broken up as part
of the disbandment of the BA collection there. The cockpit section has
gone to the museum at East Fortune, Scotland. |
